This week, our TNT boys finished up their birdhouse project! Also, after suffering the loss of a classmate in the recent tornadoes, the boys took a break from their regularly scheduled Bible lesson to talk about grief. β- If you have a boy in 1st-6th grade, come hang out with us on Wednesday nights from 6:00-6:45!
The outpouring of love for the people of Beauregard, Alabama has been amazing following the deadly tornadoes this past Sunday. The distribution centers have more clothes, food, water, medical supplies, diapers, etc. than they can use right now. If you want to help, donate through www.sbdr.org or bring gift cards to your local church. If you live out of town or out of state, you can send them to me at First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 308, Dadeville, Alabama 36853. We will get them into the hands of pastors in the area so that they can minister to their people.
Yesterday, our members sent a car load of supplies to those affected by the tornadoes in Lee County. Additionally, Brother Ben spent 9 hours yesterday in Beauregard, AL ministering to first responders and families who lost loved ones. In describing his time there, Brother Ben said: . βFor the majority of the time, I sat with 6 families who waited for hours to find out of their daughter, sister, mother, father, grandparent was alive or dead. As you can imagine, emotions ran high and frustration was prevalent. However, God worked powerfully to help each of these families find a small bit of comfort while they waited. It was heartbreaking to hear them speak of how waiting was killing them only to come to the moment to hear that which no family member wants to hear. Thank you for your prayers throughout the day. They made a difference. Hundreds if not thousands of people are hurting tonight. Please keep them in your prayers.β
